We at LAPP Southern Africa experienced it directly when we suddenly held meetings from our home offices via video conference or systematically disseminated information internally via an online training platform with webinars.

As a provider of connectivity solutions, digitization is an important driver for our core business. At the same time, even before the crisis, we were convinced that digital transformation is the future, though not at the cost of our LAPP personality.

We can automate many thins and soon we will be able to automate even more through AI, but it is the human beings with human emotions and ethics that makes the world, which has cooled down more and more due to machines, worth living in. The advantages of the digital world has become apparent, keeping everyday business running where it might have stopped in the past.

It is quite conceivable that this will ensure that companies will now focus even more on digitisation than they did before 2020, and it is great that our customers can order cable and other products online conveniently via smartphone. But they probably can, or will soon be able to, do that elsewhere as well.
